It reports on the science fiction and fantasy publishing field, including comprehensive listings of all new books published in the genre. It is considered the news organ and trade...
magazine's annual readers' poll. Currently, the Locus Awards are presented at an annual banquet. Unusually, the publishers of winning works are honored with a certificate.
The first Locus Award was given in 1971 for works published in 1970.
