. The Institute is housed in Blithewood, a mansion originally designed by an alumnus of the architectural firm of McKim, Mead and White for Andrew Zabriskie in 1899. The mansion was donated to Bard College in 1951 by the Zabriskie family.

Current Research

The Levy Economics Institute currently has fifteen scholars and forty Research Associates. Their research focuses on such issues as, income and wealth distribution, gender equality, monetary policy and financial markets, and immigration and ethnicity and the social structure.

The Institute’s research is published through Strategic Analysis papers, Levy Institute Measure of Economic Well-Being (LIMEW) Papers, policy Notes and Briefs, and numerous Working Papers. The Institute also hosts conferences and seminars.
