  • Lepisosteus oculatus Spotted gar.
  • Lepisosteus osseus Longnose gar.
  • Lepisosteus platostomus Shortnose gar.
  • Lepisosteus platyrhynchus, Florida gar.


Three species formerly classified in Lepisosteus are now assigned to the genus Atractosteus.
