Originally slated to be the second solo album from Marcy Playground frontman John Wozniak, it was later decided that it would instead be the fourth LP from the band. The album includes 12 tracks, including the singles "Good Times" and "Starbaby", as well as "Down the Drain", "Irene", "Black Bird", "I Burned the Bed", "Devil Woman", "Emporer", "Memphis 2.0", "Gin and Money", "I Must Have Been Dreaming", and "Thank You". Canadian singer/songwriter Daniel Powter contributes the piano on several tracks.
