The total area of the complex is 156 hectares. It is owned by the Government of Syria and operated by the Ministry of Territorial Administration.

Facilities

The complex includes:
  • The main stadium (Latakia Sports City Stadium) with a capacity of 45,000 spectators.
  • Four covered sports halls, with 5,000 seats for the largest and 1,500 seats for the other three halls.
  • Four football training gounds.
  • A diving pool (21x20 m), a covered swimming pool (25x12.5 m), an Olympic size swimming pool (50x21 m) and a pool for amateur swimmers.
