Route and major stops

The Automated People Mover will use 96th Street between the terminal area (in the west) to Aviation Boulevard (in the east). LAWA expects the trip between Aviation Boulevard and the terminals will take approximately five minutes . From Aviation/Century, the line may then continue south to Imperial Highway.

The people mover will be designed to connect the following nodes:
  • Central Terminal Area (CTA): the part of the airport which contains the terminals, the tower, and airport administration. The CTA will have several stops, servicing all of the airport's terminals.

  • Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC): a proposed center for multi-modal transit connections. This center would provide access to the Metro Green Line and future Metro Crenshaw Line, plus local and regional bus lines, and premium parking. The ITC will be located either at Aviation/Century or Aviation/Imperial.

  • Ground Transportation Center (GTC): a proposed center for passenger processing.

  • Consolidated Rental Car Facility (RAC): a consolidated rental car facility
