. The group also publishes other Tamil magazines including Kumudam Reporter, Kumudam Snehidi, Kumudam Bhakti, Kumudam Jothidam, Kumudam Theeranadhi. At the sametime kumudam group started a telugu spiritual magazine called 'Kumudam BHAKTHI special' in telugu. This spiritual magazine is creating ripples in Andhra Pradesh. It publishes thought provoking spiritual articles. Kumudam was started in 1947 by S.A.P Annamalai and P.V. Parthasarathy.
It had a circulation of 620,000 papers in 1986.

Kumudam is one of the oldest yet the most spicy magazine which caters to a mass audience.
Even though the book is a weekly magazine it covers lot of ground about the events happening in Tamil Nadu. Magazine is famous for its glamorous centre page pictures.
