Kingsley Moghalu

Dr. Kingsley Bosah Chiedu Moghalu (born 1963 in Lagos
, Nigeria) is Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria
(CBN), and head of the Bank's Financial System Stability directorate, responsible for regulation
of banks and financial institutions, and the development of finance programs for the CBN.
He is a former United Nations official and was Founder and Chief Executive Officer
of Sogato Strategies S.A., a corporate strategy and risk management consulting firm with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
Moghalu is the author of two books, Global Justice (Stanford University Press, 2008) and Rwanda's Genocide (Palgrave Macmillan, 2005), as well as numerous articles on law, development, political economy and public policy in journals and newspapers around the world.
Moghalu studied law at the University of Nigeria

in 1987, after obtaining a Barrister at Law
degree at the Nigerian Law School
, Lagos. He worked as a corporate lawyer with Shell Petroleum Development Company (Nigeria) Ltd. and Newswatch Communications Ltd. in Lagos. Moghalu was a special correspondent for the Christian Science Monitor, South, and the Africa News Service, and columnist for The Guardian, Nigeria's independent newspaper.
He later obtained a Ph.D.
at the London School of Economics
and Political Science (LSE) in the United Kingdom, and holds an International Certificate in Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management in London.

Moghalu was appointed as a member of the Redesign Panel on the United Nations Internal Justice System in 2006, which undertook a comprehensive evaluation and redesign of the transparency, accountability and regulatory compliance systems within the UN as part of major management reform of the United Nations.
Sogato Strategies Group was established in the same year. He continues to be Executive Director of the Swiss-Africa Business Roundtable, a Senior Associate at the Sustainability Advisory Group in Dubai

Early life
Moghalu was born to Isaac Moghalu, a Foreign Service Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria, and Vidah Moghalu, a teacher. His early childhood was spent in Geneva, Switzerland, and Washington DC, USA where his father served on diplomatic postings.
