Introduction
The Khalsa Raj Party was started by Dr. Jagjit Singh Chohan (who used to live in exile in the

; currently, he is residing in Punjab). Chohan formed the Khalsa Raj Party in 2002 and was also the president of the party.
The creation of the Khalsa Raj Party
Jagjit Singh Chohan is the president of Khalistan. According to the Sikh Times, "Dr. Jagjit Singh Chauhan, an ideologue of the Khalistan movement who returned to India from UK after 21 years to form the Khalsa Raj Party, declared his intention to work towards the 'formation of Khalistan' at a press meet in Chandigarh. Till recently, Chauhan was lying low but now sees some prospect of the Khalistan movement being revived."
Dr. Jagjit Singh Chohan established the Khalsa Raj party with the purpose of achieving self determination for the Sikhs known as Khalistan.
