Kaveri, also known as Kalyani, is an Indian Malayali film actress and film producer, who works in the South Indian film industries. Making her debut as a child artist in the 1986 Malayalam film Ammanam Kili, she appeared in several Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada-language films. After essaying supporting roles in Malayalam and Tamil-language films, she enacted female lead roles in several Telugu-language films. She has won the Nandi Award for Best Actress

Personal life

During the making of the film Pedha Babu, Kaveri and the film's director Suryakiran fell in love with each other. With the permission and acceptance of both their families, they got married on 1 May 2005. Suryakiran is the elder brother of the actress Sujitha.
