KRUSHKI KALLA is one of the most famous village of District Karak. At has a large of resources and highly education .
The famous Bogara Desert in front of Haji Hakeem Dad tubewell is also has its value in karak history.
Because it came on listing that the great Nadir shah durani, muhammad bin qasim, tariq bin zyad drove their horses through this great desert of Bogara while passing through these desert they stay for a while in KRUSHKI KALLA and and to remove their thirst they drink water from HAJI HAKEEM DAD TUBEWELL.

Economy

The series of high and low mountains of salt range enter into Karak from Punjab. There are large number of salt mines in Jatta Ismail Khel Garh jawal khel and Bahadar Khel areas. There are also large number of mines of Gypsum in Jatta valley and Garh jawal khel. Now due to the gas discovery in Makori and Nashpa huge number of industries are being installed beside the road in Jatta Ismail Khel. Jatta Ismail Khel is now becoming emerging economic solution for Karak.karak is nowadays playing a strong role in the economy of khyber pakhtoon khawa

. Gas has been recently discovered in Shakardara, Gurguri Makori and noshpa banda areas. However, agriculture still remains the main source of living for people.

Climate

Hot during the summer temperature touching 30-35and sand storms are common. However, Lakkara regions are the coolest part in summer where people use blankets at night. The best time to visit is between Nov-April with lush green fields of wheat, grams.By the reason of the Khattak nationality is very hardworker on the Government level but they have no accuracy in the job. Then they try to achieve meaningful for the area where is no wheat and other thing actlike the greencherry to the banuu stock to send many part of the in country.

Wildlife

Diverse wild life across the district with annual hunting season of quails, cranes, black and brown pheasants. It is a well known place for hunting quails (batair) and fowl. There are game reserves used for hunting by the VIPs. One such hunting place is Darab o' Kachch abundant in partridges and quail. Hunting is a popular pastime in the area.
There is shawa Hindu kash also for hunting.There were also DEARS long time ago.

There are a number of Festivals (Melay) that take place on a weekly basis, Sabirabad mela on Monday, land kamar mela on Friday and takht-e-e Nasratti mela on Saturday are the most famous festivals of the district with people attending, buying daily stuf , entertaining themselves and also people from neighbouring cities attend these festivals.

The district has a total population of 536,000 - of this males number 281,244 while female number 254,756. The population is mainly rural (86%), the annual growth rate is 4.26% and the main tribes are the Barak sub-tribe of Khattak - the main language is Pashto

Khurram Muhammad Zai is a prominent town of Tehsil Banda Daud Shah of District Karak. It is 16 kilometers from Banda Daud Shah Its location is 33°6'34N 70°52'4E.

Location

Khurram Muhammad Zai is situated on Peshawar- D I Khan High way. To its North is the Mountain range of Surtang, towards West is the Bannu District, the district karak HQ is in the south and to the east is District Kohat. It is approximately 130 kilometers south of the provincial capital, Peshawar. It is the oldest village on the main road. It has a Military Camping Ground being used by the British Convoys in their movements.

Demographics

The population of the town is about 15 thousand. Other villages in surrounding are Bahadur Khell to the West, Hoti Banda, Shawah Zawah, Totaki and Shawah to the East. The major Pashtun tribe settled in Khurram Muhammad Zai is Khattak. The inhabitants are mostly formers but considerable number is serving in government jobs. Weather of Khurram is extreme in both summer and winter. There is a scarcity of water and the rainfall is negligible. DAK BANGLOW Khurram, is the old building which has its own history. It was built by the British Government as a Rest House for its Dignitaries. It is in distorted condition having no officials' care and proper maintenance.
It is the home of many brave sons who have served and are serving in the armed forces of Pakistan. Some have rendered great sacrifices for the home land Pakistan (Karak) . Few notable are :.

Faiz Ullah Khan (Shaheed)is a soldier from Matore village in Karak who breathed his last in Sierra Leone while serving in UNO Peace keeping missions. Omair Khan Khattak s/o Lt.Col(r) Wazir Mohammad Khattak who is presently Regional Head for British American Tobacco in Peshawar which is world's largest tobacco company. He also served as Regional Head for Coca Cola beverages Pakistan.
Bari khawar is also a famous village of bari khawar located at about two kilometer from karak city in east side. The nominal person of village barl khawar is KHAN DA, KHAYAL BADAN MALIK. Muhammad Ayaz Khattak (A renowned educationist belonging to Krushki Kala of Tehsil Takht-e-Nasrati) also belongs to District Karak.KHAN GULL KHATTAK assistent dairector in IB village AZAD BANDA.

Education

District Karak has the lowest literacy rate after Islamabad and Wah. Since both Islamabad and Wah are mainly composed of temporarily migrated people, therefore Karak is ranked as the lowest educated district.
Karak have some High Quality Institute on intermediate base, like Sheen Gaar College, Danish College, , chokree Science College, paradise Public School & College Dabb etc

As the Barak Khattak are in majority, therefore, all of the funds allotted for development works by the government have been spent in Karak Tehsil. Because mostly MNA and MPs are selected from Karak Tehsil. Karak has got one of the largest uranium mines in Pakistan. There are a large oil & gas is recovered in Gurguri union council. and a salt range in bakha banda in union council Gurguri tehsil Banda daud shah. Also a salt range in bahadur khial and Nari panus in Banda Daud Shah. Barak khattak is leaving in unoin council Gurguri karak. And a forest range in unoin council Gurguri from Bakha Banda to Ourbushi village, there are a large number of zatoon tree in this forest range.
But now in 2011 it is the most populated district with respect to schools and colleges mainly in chokara like Danish public school and college, Wisdom College and in Ahmad Abad ,Islamia Public School , Mandawa etc they have many private schools and colleges playing there role in educating the people of karak.
