History

The station went on the air as KTDF on 1990-05-03. on 1994-09-30, the station changed its call sign to the current KXbz. KXBZ first began broadcasting in September 1994. With Dave Steele in the Morning, Hoss Michaels- Middays , Brady Goodman - Afternoons and Shotgun Steve Kelly at Night all have gone on to work in major market radio. At the time, it was the third station to be part of Manhattan Broadcasting Company. The original logo featured a grinning, guitar-strumming yellow jacket, and featured the station's original positioning statement "Today's Hot New Country".

In 1999, the logo was updated to feature just "B104.7" and the new positioning statement "Hot Country". The cartoonish bee was also dropped.

Current programing features The B104 Morning Show with Tyler and Megan, Middays with Kristen, Afternoons with Drew, and Bill Williams at night.
