History

FC Prishtina is one of the most successful football clubs from Kosovo. It was founded in 1922 under the name Gajret. Later on their name changed to Proleter and Kosova, and finally KF Prishtina after World War II

Its most famous and successful period was from 1983 to 1988 when it was a member of the highest football division in Yugoslavia

After the Albanian sportsmen separated from the repressive Yugoslav regime in early 1990s FC Prishtina continued competing in Albanian run First League of Kosovo with notable success.

Currently FC Prishtina is a member of the highest football division in Kosovo, the Kosovar Superliga.

The official fan club is called Plisat.
