Biography

Järvsöfaks was foaled in 23 June 1995, out of Järvsö Anna and by Trollfaks. Directly after his birth he was acquainted with his breeder and owner Persson, later his driver and trainer as well.

In 2004, Järvsöfaks came down with the rare condition called the Baron Gruff disease. The disease starts abruptly and develops quickly, but Järvsöfaks had treatment quickly enough and recovered. He returned to competition at the end of the same year.

After this, Järvsöfaks was given a position of honour in the Högvakt and in the Life Guards

The book was finished a couple of days after Järvsöfaks broke the world record in the Gävltravet race in 12 July 2005, with his time 1:17.9 per a kilometre. Järvsöfaks has been elected for the Swedish Horse of the Year (Årets häst) four times in a row from 2002 to 2005. He was also given the title of the Coldblood of the Year 2008 (Årets kallblod). Today, along with his racing career, Järvsöfaks has served in breeding. He has sired more than 300 foals in Sweden. The best of his get are Åkre Lurifax, Faksen Jr. ja Fakse, all of which have won their sire in racing.

Record

In 5 December 2008, Järvsöfaks met Sabin's Swedish record and in 26 December he broke Alm Svarten's world record in wins with his 184th heat on the Bergsåker race track.
