The original title of his integral translation was Bibilija, tu je vse svetu pismu stariga inu noviga testamenta, slovenski tolmacena skuzi Jurija Dalmatina ("Bible: Here Is the Whole Holy Scripture of the Old and the New Testament, Translated to Slovenian by Jurij Dalmatin"), and it was published in 1584, printed in the bohoricica script. The translation set the standard norm of the Slovenian literary language which held, with several innovations in vocabulary
