John Walker (18 March 1732 in Colney Hatch, Middlesex – 1 August 1807 in London) was an English lexicographer best known for his Rhyming Dictionary (1775) and Critical Pronouncing Dictionary (1791). In his early life he was an actor, which may have led to his interest in careful pronunciation.
