and only known species, Jiangshanosaurus lixianensis, was formally described by Tang Feng and others in 2001. Known material of J. lixianensis includes elements of the shoulder, back, pelvis, femur and tail. So far, little has been determined about this species' habits or its affinities within Titanosauria.
