She serves on the Board of Trustees of The Arnold P. Gold Foundation for Humanism in Medicine and of The Community Chest. Ashton has been honored by the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey as the recipient of its Women of Achievement award and by the October Woman Foundation for Breast Cancer research as the recipient of their Hope For Tomorrow award.
