From 1979 to 1982 he played for Fortuna Cologne. In summer 1984 he was on loan to FH Hafnarfjörður. In 1985 he returned to Fortuna Cologne and subsequently played in the lower division of the Austrian Bundesliga

He came home again in summer 1985 to play for Fram Reykjavik, and stayed with that club until 1986. He then later returned back to FH Hafnarfjörður. Around 1999-2003 he was coach of the Icelandic lower division team Álftanes
