. His father was a Pembroke Dock Solicitor, James Meyrick Owen and his mother was a health visitor and midwife. Jamie also had two brothers named Richard and Huw. The family is descended from the Meyrick and Owen families of early Pembroke Dock, after whom two streets in Pembroke Dock are named. The newly completed road to Pembroke Dock ferry terminal has been named in honour of Jamies' father. Jamie lived in the nearby town of Pembroke Dock
