Denton has been married twice. He and his first wife, Jenna Lyn Ward, also an actress, were married from 1997-2000. He married for the second time on December 16, 2002 to Erin O'Brien. He and Erin have two children: a son named Sheppard, born in March 2003, and a daughter, Malin O'Brien, born March 22, 2005. In the 2006 special "CMT Giants: Reba" he revealed that Reba McEntire
