Beattie married his fiancée Sarah Rendle in Manchester on 20th May 2006. They had a baby son, James Samuel, on 6 September 2006. Sarah gave birth to their second child on 23 April 2010, called George James. His wife Sarah gave birth to their 3rd child on the 24th July 2011, called Halle Sarah.
