The acronym "J.O.B." was said to stand for "Just Over Broke" , a reference to wrestlers' penchant for appearing in preliminary matches and, therefore, being on the low end of the payscale.

The Job Squad was a representation (an unofficial union if you will), of "Jobber's" (the wrestlers that get paid to get beat up). The second part of the name was 1 - 2- 3 For Life, which goes back to losing. So in essence, Al Snow was proclaiming that he was a "Jobber" and his follower's were the "common man", working hard and never seeming to get ahead in life.
