Overview
The Israel Democracy Institute (Hebrew: המכון הישראלי לדמוקרטיה‎) was established in 1991 as an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit think tank located on the seam between academia and government. Its main objective is to serve as a forum for research, debate and reform of Israeli democratic institutions. The Institute is the premier nongovernmental agent of change in the Israeli body politic.

The Israel Democracy Institute (Hebrew: המכון הישראלי לדמוקרטיה‎) was established in 1991 as an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit think tank located on the seam between academia and government.
