Academic subjects

The school was founded based on the principle of providing both secular (science, social science, modern languages) and Islamic education (Quran, Arabic language, Islamic studies) to students. It offers classes in maths, biology, chemistry, physics, Pakistan studies, Urdu, Easy Urdu (from grade 4 onwards for non-pakistani+non-arabs) , Hindi, Bengali , Arabic, Islamic studies, social science, economics, accounting, business studies, English language, English literature, computer science and physical education. The school laboratories for carrying out experiments in chemistry, physics and biology are all well-equipped and comply with the safety procedures. There is a small mosque in IES. Those enrolled in the Hifz section, also go on to memorize the Quran.

Facilities

The school has good sports facilities, including football ground, badminton court, squash court, basketball court and table-tennis. The school sports team regularly participate in regional inter-school sports competitions.´
Every the school management holds a picnic for each classes from KG-1 onwards annually . From Grade 4 onwards , girls and boys have separate picnics .

Achievements

In the 16th Inter-School Athletic championship, Islamia English School secured the third position. IES students have also shown strong performance in HSSC examinations.
