Until 1972, SR 3 went through Fort Wayne. But with the completion of I-69, the section that went through Fort Wayne was turned back.

The above speculated projects are NOT currently in any planning or funding process, although they are mentioned in the Allen County 2030 Transportation Plan and listed as illustrative projects.
