IEEE Systems Council
Encyclopedia
The IEEE Systems Council is one of seven councils of the IEEE. The Council focuses on:
  • Systems engineering, education, standards, processes and methodologies
  • Modeling, simulation and integration related to design, testing, production and support
  • Design aspects for robust design, human factors, safety, security and usability
  • Transition of products from design to production, deployment and use
  • Quality control and system management
  • Program/product/project management interactions
  • Risk management
  • Systems architecture

Publications

The IEEE Systems Council publishes a major peer-reviewed journal called the IEEE Systems Journal that is "intended to stimulate awareness, appreciation and utilization of systems thinking and the supporting systems engineering disciplines. ISJ provides a systems-level focused forum for application-oriented manuscripts that address complex systems and system-of-systems, also having national and global significance. ISJ aims to be the premiere archival publication for professional from industry, researchers, educators, and students, who are sharing a strong interest in complex systems, systems engineering, and the system thinking perspective."

Conferences

The Council sponsors and co-sponsors a number of international conferences and events that focus on its Field of Interest.
