IEEE Council on Superconductivity
Encyclopedia
The IEEE Council on Superconductivity is one of seven councils of the IEEE.

Field of Interest

The Council's Field of Interest is stated in its Constitution as follows:

"The field of interest of the Council and its activities and programs shall be to cover the science and technology of superconductors and their applications, including materials and their applications for electronics and power systems, where the superconductor properties are central to the application. Superconducting electronic applications will include both analog and digital circuit
Digital circuit
Digital electronics represent signals by discrete bands of analog levels, rather than by a continuous range. All levels within a band represent the same signal state...

s and systems. Power applications will include the generation, storage, transmission and use of electric power
Electric power
Electric power is the rate at which electric energy is transferred by an electric circuit. The SI unit of power is the watt.-Circuits:Electric power, like mechanical power, is represented by the letter P in electrical equations...
