. 82 Total Force personnel support the Paul H. Lankford Enlisted Professional Military Education Center and the Media and Engagement Division. The center, also known as TEC, conducts an average of 18 professional military education courses a year and hosts more than 40 skill enhancement classes in subjects ranging from explosives safety orientation to food services, recruiting, security and expeditionary medical support. Total Air Force personnel educate more than 4,200 students per year through in-resident, blended, and distance-learning courses. The Media and Engagement Division also provides high-quality media content to locations worldwide through the television production studios of TEC TV, web platforms, and the Air National Guard Warrior Network satellite broadcast programming.

Personnel and Resources

The Training and Education Center's staff of approximately 82 personnel represent all components of the Air Force. Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, Air Force, and civil service members serve together to train and educate the leaders of tomorrow.
 
The Training and Education Center's facilities are modern and connected by a state of the art computer network. The campus houses an athletic center, dormitories, classrooms, auditorium and dining facility all within a short walking distance.

Organizational Structure

The Training and Education Center offers professional military development courses including the Paul H. Lankford Enlisted Professional Military Education Center, various training development courses and distance learning. The center also houses the Media and Engagement Division, a strategic communications center for the Air National Guard. The Media and Engagement Division includes the television broadcast and production studios of TEC TV and the Air National Guard Warrior Network.
 
The Paul H. Lankford Enlisted Professional Military Education Center prepares enlisted leaders for increased responsibility through the Airman Leadership School and the Noncommissioned Officer Academy. For students unable to attend these schools in residence, EPME offers an alternative satellite program that is broadcast from the TEC's television studios. These courses graduate more than 3,000 enlisted leaders per year.
 
The Media and Engagement Division focuses on strategic communication enabling tools to the Air National Guard to include international engagement and public affairs education, Web 2.0 application and innovation, video production, satellite broadcast, incident response documentation, and public affairs capabilities for the Air National Guard. As part of the Media and Engagement Division, TEC TV is a modern television broadcast and video production center. This facility creates training and informational videos and is home to the Air National Guard Warrior Network. TEC-TV broadcasts more than 500 hours per year of live interactive training, education and command information to audiences worldwide. TEC TV also produces the Minuteman Report, a daily one-minute news update covering National Guard operations around the world. The Minuteman Report is broadcast to 177 countries around the world and is distributed to viewers on the web through TEC TV YouTube, Facebook and Twitter social media presences.

History

The Training and Education Center was established in 1968 as the I.G. Brown Professional Military Education Center, named in honor of the first Director of the Air National Guard, Maj. Gen. I.G. Brown. In 1998, its name was changed to The I.G. Brown Air National Guard Training and Education Center.
