Facilities

HUP operates a Level I Trauma Center which includes PennSTAR, a fleet of 6 helicopters used to transport critically injured patients to the hospital. PennSTAR serves eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. HUP is also located next to the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine
