, upon hearing of the particular college from his brother agreed it would be an excellent opportunity to honor their father. After Conrad Hilton was presented with the plans from his sons, he immediately contributed $1.5 Million dollars for completion of the project.

In addition to operating the full-service Hilton hotel, the college also operates two restaurants, Eric's and Baron's, and the Fred Parks Wine Cellar.

In January 2009, the college opened the Cougar Grounds Coffee Shop. They had a "soft open" in October 2008. The Cougar Grounds is a coffee shop in the US run entirely by students. It was the first coffee shop to be run by students. The college offers courses for class credit through the coffee shop.
