'''Hangzhou Dianzi University''' (HDU) ({{zh|s=杭州电子科技大学|t=杭州電子科技大學|p=Hángzhōu diànzǐ kējì dàxué}}) is a university located in [[Hangzhou]], China. It was founded in 1956 as the second public university in [[Zhejiang Province]]. It was formerly named '''Hanghzou Institute of Electrical Engineering''' and was renamed in 2004.
HDU is administered directly by the [[Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China|Ministry of Industry and Information Technology]] and the Provincial Government. It emphasizes the disciplines of engineering, economics, sciences and arts. It has more than 40 research institutions and enrolls 23000 students with 2200 faculty and staff. The university has completed a host of high-tech research projects and Province or Ministry sponsored research projects, many of which were awarded the National First/Second Prize for Scientific and Technology Progress, the National Invention Prize, and the National Pedagogical Achievement Prize.
The university is among the top few universities in China in terms of the [[Postgraduate education|postgraduate]] program admission rate and the successful employment rate for its graduates.
