Amateur career

Török won the Olympic Flyweight gold medal at the 1960 Rome Olympic Games for Hungary. His results were:
  • Quarterfinal - Defeated Miguel Angel Botta (Argentina) 5-0
  • Semifinal - Defeated Abdelmoneim El-Guindi (Egypt) 4-1
  • Final - Defeated Sergey Sivko (Soviet Union) 3-2
