Criticism

First of all, this list is original research, though it consists of simple math, a casual user cannot verify rankings are accurate in a matter of a few minutes, and second of all, its usefulness is limited as it does not accurately reflect GDP energy or carbon intensity as oil is not the only significant hydrocarbon nor energy resource. Also, the calculation is performed using nominal GDP which does not take into account of purchasing power of different currencies.
