Although it is located close to downtown Frankfurt (5-10 minutes by train), Griesheim also has an atmosphere of
a smaller village. Not far from the centre, which is located in southern Griesheim, are the banks of the River Main, which is very popular with cyclists, joggers and pedestrians.
