Slidell is also represented in the House by a second Republican, Kevin Pearson from District 76, who joined Cromer in a dual town hall meeting in April 2011. Cromer is a member of the House committees on Civil Law and Procedure, Governmental Affairs, and Retirement. Pearson is chairman of the Retirement Committee. Cromer and Pearson have developed a close working relationship and often appear together at civic meetings before constituents. The two issued a joint press released on the Deepwater Horizon

Cromer was reelected in the primary election held on October 22, 2011. He received 5,0320 votes (74.9 percent) to 1,683 ballots (25.1 percent) for his intraparty rival, J. "Ron" Eldridge.
