In spring of 2008 the Greenies were outfitted with GPS

 devices to make their positions trackable online, accurate to within 20 seconds (see External Links). Further plans call for the installation of signposts at significant stops that provide the time until the next bus.

However as many students will share, the GPS system only works if the buses are moving on schedule, and it is often faster to walk 20 minutes across campus than to wait for a bus that should arrive in 1-2 minutes. While this has been improved upon in recent years with the actions of the Student Government and complaints of drivers stopping for smoking breaks behind the village that were effectively dealt with, traffic due to construction and poorly designed traffic patterns still plague the greenies.

Types of Greenie Buses

There are many different types of Greenie buses, some of which are not documented on the official Greenie web site. Currently in operation are:

Circle Link

Provides service between the north and south sides of the CWRU campus from 6:15am–5:30pm Mon-Sat and 12:00pm–5:30pm Sun.

Evening Shuttle North Loop

Provides service between the north and south sides of the CWRU campus from 5:15pm–12:30am

Evening Shuttle South Loop

Provides service from University Circle to Coventry Village from 5:15pm–12:30am

Commuter Shuttle

Provides service around the CWRU campus and the University Hospitals of Cleveland
