History

The league originated as Roller Derby Scotland, established soon after the Glasgow Roller Girls

, and was heavily involved in helping that league develop. The league soon renamed itself the Aberdeen Aces, but struggled to find practice space. In November 2008, it began skating at the Aberdeen Lads Club, and was again renamed, as the "Granite City Roller Girls".

In August 2010, the league hosted Scotland's first roller derby tournament, with Glasgow Roller Girls
