Grain Valley's High School has a football, soccer, tennis, baseball and softball, golf, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, cross country, and cheerleading teams. The middle school has the same except baseball, softball, golf, or tennis.

Academics

Grain Valley's High School participates in several AP (Advanced Placement) courses. AP courses give students a chance to earn college credit while still in high school and are an academic challenge for students who excel in a broad range of studies. Grain Valley also participates in the A+ program giving students the chance to attend a 2 year community college or vocational school if they meet certain requirements.

In August 2010, Newsweek named Grain Valley High school as one of the top high schools in the United States with only 2 other high schools named in the Kansas City area- Lincoln College Preparatory Academy
