. In the 1790s he was an Overseer of the Highways for the northern division of Upper Freehold. From 1801 through 1819 he served on both the Upper Freehold Township Committee and the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders. At the May 8, 1811 annual reorganization, he was chosen as Director, serving until he left the Board in 1819.
