Career

García debuted at Universidad de Chile for a short while before joining Coquimbo Unido, where he was the top scorer alongside Pascual de Gregorio. In addition he played for Necaxa, Once Caldas, Caracas FC, Union Atletico Maracaibo. In the past two participated in the Copa Libertadores de America. Recent recruitment of Huachipato of Chile, from Skoda Xanthi in Greece.

International career

García was part of the U-20 squad that played the 1999 South American Youth Championship. He has only played once for the adult squad (17/04/2002 vs Turkey). In 2006 he played in the friendly game against Aragon but this is not considered a FIFA match.
