Early life and career

Di Genola was born in Rome in 1947. He earned his MBA from Columbia Business School

. Following graduation in 1971, di Genola began his career at Banco di Roma. In 1977, he joined Fiat. In 2002, he was appointed CEO of Fiat. From 2003 to 2007 he was Chairman of Mediobanca. In 2008, he became the Chairman of Telecom Italia.
