The Shanghai–Xi'an Expressway , commonly referred to as the Hushan Expressway is an expressway that connects the cities of Shanghai
, China
, and Xi'an
, Shaanxi
. It is 1490 km (925.8 mi) in length.
The only section of the expressway that is incomplete is a section between Qidong
, Jiangsu
and Shanghai's Chongming Island. The Chongqi Bridge
is currently being constructed and will close the only remaining gap in the expressway.
The expressway uses the Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel and Bridge and will use the Chongqi Bridge
