He is vastly remembered for his quickness, great shooting skills, leadership and sense of team organizement inside the field. He was part of the famous Saprissa's midfield whose way of playing made history in the CONCACAF

He played during the 70's and 80's with Costa Rica's national team

He played 35 matches for Costa Rica and scored 5 goals. He also played for Costa Rica at the 1980 Summer Olympics
