. The Club was founded in 1898 as the Digamma Club, by a group of six undergraduates. The name "Fox" and the club’s symbol, a rampant fox carrying the letter "F" grew from the similarity between the Greek character for Digamma, HJH, and the letter F, as well as the traditional east-coast sport of fox hunting.
