Southgate
Southgate is an off-campus housing complex owned and operated by the university. Southgate is restricted to upperclassmen and offers studio and one bedroom apartments as well as two and three bedroom apartments. The original Southgate buildings (A through H) were owned by the City of Melbourne as public housing. The university purchased these buildings to be used as additional student housing when the number of enrolled students continued to increase. Shorthly thereafter the school then constructed the three story buildings K, L, and M. Prior to the construction of Skurla Hall, the offices of the School of Aeronautics and the Department of Athletics were located in 'A' Building, the only building on the north side of Southgate Blvd. 'A' Building has since converted back to student apartments. The Southgate Apartment complex also has one of Florida Tech's two swimming pools for student use. The pool was constructed prior to the school's ownership of the complex. Originally an inground hot tub was included next to the pool in the northwest corner of the site, but was filled in and used as a landscaped area during the school's ownership. During the summer of 2003 the entire pool was refurbished with new concrete and a pool bottom. During this refurbishment, the old hot tub was covered over with the concrete of the new pool deck.

Harris Village Suites
The Harris Village suites completed construction in the summer of 2008, and were opened in the Fall 2008 semester to upperclassmen and grad students. Originally to be named "South Village" they were renamed to the Harris Village Suites after a substantial donation from the

. The three 5-story residence buildings are located on the south end of campus. They are named Hartley Hall, Farmer Hall, and Building C (currently unnamed).
Roberts Hall
Restricted to freshmen, Roberts Hall is a coeducational residence hall. It is seven stories tall, and also serves as the headquarters for WFIT, a radio station on campus, though not run by the university (WCRR, located in Grissom Hall, is the student run HD-FM2 and internet simucast radio station).
Wood Hall

Campbell Hall is another residence hall situated in the Residence Quad. It is designed for first-year as well as upperclassmen students.
Shaw Hall
Shaw Hall once was an all female residence hall in the Residence Quad. It is now co-ed on all three floors. It is also a designated first year area. The Campus Security Department is situated in the center of the building on the first floor, accessible from the rear of the building.
Evans Hall
Evans Hall is restricted to upperclassmen. The top two floors are rooms for students. The second floor is Evans Dining Hall, and the bottom floor has Campus Services, the Rathskellar, and the Black Kats Café (Formerly a pub or bar, now a

Brownlie Hall
Brownlie Hall is located on Country Club Road across from the rest of the Residence Quad. Each room has its own bathroom. The hall also has a pool and laundry facilities for its residents. It is named after V. C. Brownlie who donated to the University of Melbourne. The residence hall sits on a portion of his donated land and is the oldest of the dormitories.
Grissom Hall
Grissom Hall is located in the Residence Quad and mainly houses international students enrolled in the ELS program. The first floor and third floor west wing of Grissom are classrooms. Grissom Hall's basement houses the Crimson (Florida Tech Newspaper), WCRR (College Run Radio), FITV, as well as a classroom.

The Hartley Room is named in honor of John and Marthy Hartly, former members of the board of trustees; prior to 2004 it was known as the All Purpose Room. The second floor of the SUB is a common place to hang around on campus. Named after the founder of Radiation, Inc., which was purchased by Harris Corporation.
Shepard Hall (SH)
Shepard Hall contains a few classrooms, usually utilized for the general math, science, and English classes.
Link Building
The Link Building contains classrooms, and is the home of the Department of Marine and Environmental Systems. The third floor also contains the Florida Tech Hydrogen Center.
Skurla Hall (A)
Skurla Hall is the home of the School of Aeronautics at
Florida Tech. It contains many classrooms, computer labs, faculty offices, and a large auditorium.
Crawford Building (S)
The Crawford "Science" Tower is a seven floor building on campus. It contains the humanities and math department offices. The "Science" Tower has been used less since the opening of the Olin Physical Science Building, when most of the science departments relocated. However, its many classrooms are still utilized by all departments.
Gleason Performing Arts Center
The Gleason Auditorium is the home of the College Players

Clemente Center
The Robert and Ruth Clemente Center for Sports and Recreation was opened in 2001. It contains Center Court (a dining facility), two large gymnasiums, a racquetball court, and a second floor with workout machines. Performances which are too large for the 500 seat Gleason Auditorium are often held here, like the Emerson Drive concert of Fall 2004.
Olin Engineering Complex (EC)
The Olin Engineering Complex, often called just "the Olin building", is the home to the Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering department, Electrical/Computer Engineering department Civil Engineering department, Chemical Engineering department, and the computer sciences department. The first floor features several open computer labs (with 24 hour access), numerable classrooms, and the large multimedia auditorium. The second floor consists mainly of faculty offices, a few computer classrooms and the engineering student launge. The third floor contains primarily faculty offices and also the office of the Dean of Engineering. Access to the building after-hours by students is achieved via electronic key card access on the student Panther Access ID.
Olin Life Sciences Building (LS)
The Olin LS building is home to the Biological Sciences programs on campus. It contains numerous classrooms and several laboratories.
Olin Physical Sciences Building (PS)
Completed in 2004, the Olin Physical Sciences Building (also sometimes shortened to the Olin Building or just Olin) houses the Chemistry Department and the Physics/Space Sciences Department. One notable feature is a large telescope dome on the roof of the building that houses a 32" telescope (the largest optical telescope in the state of Florida).
