The Fireman Chit is a Boy Scouts
reward or contract stating that a scout may be able to use, tend, and start a fire. With the Fireman Chit, the Scout(s) are given the right to do the actions stated in the sentence before this. Generally, the process to earn this takes about a half an hour depending on if the Scout is paying attention. The Fireman Chit is a requirement for certain merit badges.

Rules and Requirements
If the rules to tending or making a fire are not followed after any amount of given warnings (or none at all), then the scoutmaster or SPL (Senior Patrol Leader) may either take the card from you and throw it in the fire (Usually after throwing plastic or similar products in the fire) or take corners from the card, much like the Totin' ChipTotin' Chip
