In the village the population was spread out with 26.4% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 26.3% from 25 to 44, 20.6% from 45 to 64, and 21.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The band's self-titled album was recorded in the studio, which was built partly over a now defunct indoor swimming pool. Vernon's reason for recording in Fall Creek was that "[it's] been a wonderful freedom, working in a place we built. It's also only three miles from the house I grew up in, and just ten minutes from the bar where my parents met."
