. Founded in 2003, it offers grades K-12 and is a non-profit corporation 501(c)(3). The school mascot is the Warriors, and the school's colors are Red and Black. Their sports teams are known as the "Excel Warriors."
(NRS) 394.211 and as such is exempt from the provisions of the Private Elementary and Secondary Education Authorization Act. The school is not subject to the oversight of the State Department of Education. However, to maintain its exempt status, Excel is responsible for providing an education that is comparable to the public schools and strives to go even beyond the state and county requirements.
In the fall of 2008 the school will be entering the accreditation process with the Association of Christian Schools International
(ACSI) and will concurrently seek accreditation with the NAAS.
