Pro Boxing Career

Martin was a prospect early in his pro career. He turned pro in 1984 at the age of 20. He started his career at cruiserweight and fought as low as 167 pounds, boxed 16 heavyweight world champions.

In 1988 Martin scored one of the biggest wins of his career with a decision win over rising prospect Bert Cooper
